A planning pre-application for the 27-acre Montagu Industrial Estate regeneration has been submitted.
Named EN406, the scheme is being delivered in joint venture between Enfield Council and HBD. The estate is a key location minutes from the North Circular (A406) and will create a modern industrial and logistics park.
The first phase covers 2.54 acres and was given a green light by planners earlier this year. It will see the development of eight industrial and warehouse units with offices, intended to provide SMEs with modern, high-quality business space and work will start on site in early autumn.
Adrian Schofield, senior director at HBD, said: "This project is an important regeneration scheme for Enfield, acting as a catalyst for growth and job creation. While the initial phase will focus on providing small units for local SMEs, the wider scheme will also include larger premises.
"The pre-application sets out our vision for the wider scheme and following feedback from the pre-application process and our JV partner, LBE, we expect to submit an outline application for the whole site in early autumn."
HBD claims a strong track record in partnering with local authorities on the successful delivery of employment sites. Its London office has several such projects underway elsewhere in the South East, including Airport Business Park Southend and Butterfield Business Park, Luton.
