Edmonton's Montagu Industrial Estate will be transformed into a mixed-use business estate, with a view to increasing employment and rejuvenating the surrounding area.
Located just north of the A406, the 12-ha estate will be redeveloped in phases to create more than 63,174sq m of employment space to be delivered in a joint venture partnership between Enfield Council and Henry Boot Developments (HBD).
The development will accommodate both existing and expanding local companies while also aiming to attract new businesses to the area.
Adrian Schofield, regional development director at HBD, said: "We look forward to starting on-site with the first phase of construction. The scheme has great potential to attract innovative, growing businesses to the area and will facilitate the creation of high quality jobs within the borough."
The demolition of Unecol House will set the scene for the development and facilitate the regeneration project. Unecol House is a vacant property in a prominent position on the estate.
