Work began in May 2018 on the latest section of a multimillion pound network of cycle lanes in Enfield.

The A1010 south corridor section of the £42 million Cycle Enfield scheme will run from Ponders End to White Hart Lane and will be physically separated from traffic to ensure cyclists are protected from cars and buses. Junctions, including the Edmonton Green Roundabout, will be redesigned so that pedestrians and people cycling can pass through safely and easily.

The four-year scheme aims to cut congestion and pollution by encouraging people to cycle their daily journeys, saving time, money and encouraging more exercise.
