Enfield Council has won second place in the ACES Awards for Excellence in property management 2015.
ACES is the Association of Chief Estates Surveyors and Property Managers in the public sector – comprising of the professional heads of property and asset management services at the UK's local authorities.
The award recognised the team for providing temporary accommodation in the borough, and its work to set up an office for Housing Gateway to deal with acquisitions.
Enfield Council’s cabinet member for housing and housing regeneration, Councillor Ahmet Oykener, said: “I am particularly proud of how Enfield Council dealt so efficiently with the setting up of our Housing Gateway team.
“This team will be working on getting tenants out of expensive temporary accommodation and into secure housing, so ensuring that they had proper offices set up quickly was a great achievement”.
