Dugdale Centre reveals February programme

Concerts, theatre plays and movie screenings will light up nights at the Dugdale Centre on Enfield’s London Road in February.

On Thursday 11, Talkies Community Cinema will present 2013 comedy-drama film Nebraska by Alexander Payne, featuring Bruce Dern, who won the best actor award at Cannes film festival for his performance.

The following day, comedy double-act and presenters Ashley J and Tee-J bring will perform a live improvised comedy game show called Acting Up! Two teams of performers will battle it out, creating comical versions of songs, sketches, adverts and films. The audience will play an active role, giving ideas and deciding the best team.

Later in the month, jazz-fusion group Frater and Taylor will perform within Ziggy's World Jazz Club. Vocalist Josie Frater and drummer Steve Taylor, who recently performed at London Jazz Festival, will be joined by vocalist Randolph Matthews, who will bring a blend of jazz, soul, world beat, storytelling and beatbox.

On 28 February, reggae singer Wendy Walker and R&B singer Kele Le Roc will join actress Judith Jacob in her monthly chat show Yabba Yabba.

Other events at the Dugdale include Indian dance performance Salaam by Sonia Sabri Company and theatre play Austen’s Women, directed by Guy Masterson.
