A new academy in Tottenham is delivering dry lining apprenticeships to job seekers on income support.
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) announced in December 2015 that it had formed a partnership with dry lining and facade provider Conneely Group to create the CONEL-Conneely Group Academy.
Apprentices are sourced through recruitment agency Positive Employment and the CONEL apprenticeships team. The course is full time and lasts for 12-15 weeks.
Candidates who successfully pass are offered employment by the Conneely Group. The company plans to progress 30 students a year through the academy.
David Chambers, business development executive for the CONEL apprenticeships team, said: “I am looking forward to Conneely Group sending through many students next year”.
