Kier has been named as Enfield Council's chosen development partner to regenerate seven sites across the borough.
The sites – based on Parsonage Lane, Forty Hill, Lavender Hill, St Georges Road, Tudor Crescent , Jasper Close and near Holtwhites Hill – will see a total of 94 mixed tenure homes of one, two and three-bedroom houses and one and two bedroom apartments built – the first council homes in Enfield for several decades.
The developer will start work on the Parsonage Lane site in June this year.
Councillor Ahmet Oykener said: “We have taken an innovative approach to the planning and funding arrangements providing 37 affordable rented council-owned homes.
“A wholly owned council property company will be able to use the income generated from the remaining 57 homes to fund the whole development.”
