Edmonton MP Andy Love has praised the Highmead regeneration scheme in Angel Edmonton, after visiting the site last week.
The mixed-use scheme comprises 118 homes, as well as commercial space, and is being developed by Countryside Properties in partnership with Enfield Council and Newlon Housing Trust.
Representatives from the council and Countryside Properties joined Love on the visit.
Love said: “It is great that, after so many years, the Highmead estate is finally being redeveloped.
“With a health centre as well as housing and other community facilities being built, it really is an exciting project and I particularly welcome the addition of much-needed affordable homes.
“All the work appears to be on track and I look forward to the construction being complete.”
The scheme’s design, by architect Hawkins Brown Architects, was nominated for a housing design award in 2012.
