Renewable energy firm, Kedco, has selected a contractor to progress with building a biomass energy project in Enfield.
MWH Global will develop and build the scheme, which will be capable of turning 60,000 tonnes of waste timber into 12 megawatts of electricity and heat.
The project has full planning and environmental permission and is expected to reach financial close by the end of the year.
