Enfield Council has delivered sports facilities, a playground and a gym in New Southgate as part of the regeneration of High Road Open Space.
The scheme, part of the "Take the High Road" project, aims to improve open spaces throughout the borough.
The official opening of the new facilities arranged by the council was well attended by Enfield residents.
The council's cabinet member for business and regeneration, Councillor Del Goddard, said: "We're forging ahead with delivering real improvements to New Southgate.
"We listened to what residents wanted and we are delivering a programme of significant improvements to the entire area so it can be opened up and made more attractive for the whole neighbourhood to enjoy."
