Education secretary Michael Gove has approved proposals for a free school to open at the Meridian Water development area from September next year.

The primary school, which will be run by London Community Learning Trust, will occupy a new building in Kimberley Park, This Is Local London reported.

The trust said the new school would replace the annexe to St Matthew’s Primary School currently operating at Dyson’s Road Community Hub, and would be led by headteacher Stefan Roos.
