Enfield is preparing to showcase its development potential - and that of the wider London Stansted corridor - to an international audience at next month's MIPIM investment conference in France.
Thanks to sponsorship organised by Opportunity Enfield publisher 3 Fox International, the borough will be sending two representatives to the March 12-15 event in Cannes, as part of a capital-wide delegation expected to include London Mayor Boris Johnson and London Stansted corridor consortium chair Greg Clark.
Councillor Del Goddard, Enfield’s cabinet member responsible for business and regeneration, said the aim of the trip was to attract investment in the borough, create sustainable employment for residents, and boost growth in the local economy.
"Enfield is open for business and thanks to the efforts of our partners 3 Fox International in obtaining this sponsorship we will once again be able to show the world what Enfield has to offer big business without expecting the tax payer to foot the bill,” he said.
“We are already home to huge multi-national companies such as Sony and Coca-Cola which know we are business friendly and do things the right way and we are determined to attract more corporations and companies to our borough to create jobs, wealth and opportunities for our residents.
“MIPIM will give us the chance to tap into a global audience and show the world what we can offer in return."
