A host of local companies have been rewarded for their excellence at the Enterprise Enfield Business Awards 2012.
Holtwhites Bakery and AMS Acoustics were among the firms presented with accolades at the gala dinner, held at the Royal Chace Hotel, by the independent business advisory and training services organisation.
Chase Side firm Holtwhites, an independent artisan bakery and delicatessen set up by husband-and-wife team Richard Copsey and Kate Smith, won in the 'retailer of the year' category, while AMS, whose customers include London Underground and the Emirates Stadium, was named 'exporter of the year' in recognition of its efforts to tap into global markets.
In other awards, Palmers Green vintage tea shop Baskervilles was named 'RSA Trust start-up of the year', while Empire Garages in Hertford Road picked up the 'RSA Trust business of the year' title.
Bed and furniture maker Warren Evans’ Designer Ideas was named 'RSA Trust green business of the year'.
