Enfield Council has decided 12 major planning applications since the beginning of April this year - but dealt with only one of those within its target of 13 weeks, according to new statistics.
According to its latest update on planning performance, some 1,436 applications were received between 1 April and 30 September, some 1,287 of which were registered as “valid” to proceed for determination.
It said that while the proportion of major applications determined within target was just 8.33%, some 56.42% of the 218 minor applications it received were determined within the council’s target timescale.
A further 716 applications categorised as “other” were received by the council between April and October. Sixty-six percent of those applications - which include householder requests - were determined within the relevant timescale.
