Enfield Council is gearing up for the redevelopment of New Southgate's Ladderswood Estate, with a public consultation to explain its plans.
The current 1960s development is due to be demolished to make way for 517 new homes of varying size, with shops, a community centre, and an 80-bedroom hotel, the Enfield Independent reported.
The council has already selected Mulalley and Company and One Housing Group for the development, which is due to start early next year for completion in 2014.
The residents' meeting takes place from 7.30pm on 20 November at Garfield Primary School in Springfield Road, New Southgate.
