Global radar manufacturer Kelvin Hughes has relocated to new headquarters in Brimsdown, Enfield, bringing about 300 jobs into the borough.
The firm, which manufactures land and sea surveillance radar systems, had been based in Ilford since 1917, the Enfield Independent said.
Chief executive Russell Gould said the firm's former premises were "no longer capable of supporting the manufacturing methods and efficiencies required for our state-of-the-art products and services".
