Enfield Council has awarded more than £100,000 in grants to small and medium-sized enterprises hit by looting during the summer’s civil disturbances.
In addition, it has given a business rates rebate of £88,000 to shops which lost out on trading due to the scale of the looting.
The news of the cash was welcomed by business representatives in the borough.
